This Halloween: Harvey vs. Elliott

This Halloween, prepare to have the willies well and truly scared out of you by this titanic clash between two of cinema's greats!

The Pooka is Celtic spirit that has manifested as a six foot three and a half inches tall invisible rabbit!
The unseen friend of a small boy from Passamaquoddy is a mighty dragon!
When they are pitted against each other, the whole world quakes!

Witness the battle of the century as two of the most impossible to see monsters of the movies go head to head!
You won't see them fight! You won't see them smash! You won't see them face off in a cataclysmic contest that surely only one can win!

Better than another Freddy, Jason or Michael reboot. Better than a predictable found footage, possession or exorcism bore.
If you only see one film this Halloween, make it Harvey vs. Elliott, the one creature feature where you cannot even see the protagonists!

Harvey vs. Elliott! In cinemas this Halloween. Or is it?

Batman: Year One

With all this week's back to school pictures, I was inclined to reflect on the main inspiration for Frank Miller's 1987 retelling of The Dark Knight's origin story.

Kingsmill Announce Commemorative Brexit Loaf

To mark the occasion of the UK leaving the European Union, Kingsmill Bakery have come up with a special loaf, the '52/48'. This represents the split in the Brexit vote between those who wanted to leave, and those who wanted to remain part of the EU.
We asked just how this differed from their normal '50/50' bread. "There is no actual difference, the tiny change in the ingredients would not be worth the effort. Essentially we're still in charge of putting whatever we want into the bread, people voting or expressing any other sort of mass opinion doesn't really have any effect on what we produce as bakers," said a spokesman. And will this special edition bread be available throughout the '50/50' range? "No, just the thick loaf," we were told.

Trailblazers of the TARDIS

Looking forward to the new series of Doctor Who, it is worth taking a moment to reflect upon the women who have played the part of the Doctor so brilliantly in the past. Here is a tribute.

Not so sure about the new bloke though.
